Japanese man steals police automobile from Thai immigration facility

A Japanese man who was scheduled to be deported from a Thai immigration facility has escaped after stealing a police automobile.

The escapee has been recognized as Yuuki Yagi, aged 35.

According to sources, Yagi was detained on September 7 on suspicion of illegally staying within the nation and was returned to the immigration facility after a courtroom continuing on Saturday. While on the facility, he complained of feeling sick, and as authorities had been making ready a wheelchair for him, he managed to steal a police automobile and fled, breaking via the constructing’s doorways.

The stolen automobile was discovered by the roadside about 5 kilometers away, and the police are at the moment on the hunt for him.

Yagi is needed in Japan for allegedly scamming tens of millions of yen in COVID-19 reduction funds. He was scheduled for imminent deportation.
