TOKYO, Oct. 11 (Xinhua)– A Japanese male driver has been arrested after hitting a lady in her 80s and dragging her for about two km in western Tokyo, based on native police.
The sufferer, who was later recognized by the police as 84-year-old native resident Noriko Ushikusa, was introduced useless after being taken to the hospital.
The 53-year-old suspect, Yoshihiro Sumiyama, is an organization worker from Higashimurayama City in Tokyo space, and was arrested by the police on suspicion of hit-and-run.
According to the police, the suspect was driving a passenger automobile in Sakaemachi of Higashimurayama City at round 3:40 p.m. native time on Tuesday when he struck Ushikusa and dragged her for about two km in roughly 10 minutes.
After receiving an emergency name from a witness on the preliminary scene, a police officer stopped the automobile and took the motive force into custody. The sufferer was discovered mendacity below the automobile.
According to the police, the motive force, when questioned, mentioned he doesn’t recall hitting anybody, denying the fees of negligent driving leading to loss of life and violating the site visitors regulation.
