HANGZHOU, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) — Japan’s Toshiki Uematsu and South Korea’s Mun Hye-gyeong gained the boys’s and girls’s comfortable tennis singles golds respectively on the Hangzhou Asian Games on Saturday.
Uematsu breezed previous Chang Yu-sung of Chinese Taipei 4-0 to assert the boys’s singles title.
“The match started just as I imagined. It went very well, and I played very well. I am satisfied with this result,” Uematsu mentioned after the match.
Mun struck gold within the ladies’s singles occasion by defeating Noa Takahashi of Japan 4-0.
“The pressure was so heavy. But because I had to win and everyone put their trust in me, I had my best performance under such pressure,” Mun mentioned.
China’s duo of Ma Yue and Li Denglin had misplaced to Mun and Takahashi respectively within the semifinals.
