Jagadguru Parmhans Acharya sits on indefinite starvation strike after being stopped from getting into curfew-imposed Nuh

Nuh (Haryana) [India], August 28 (ANI): Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya, a Hindu seer from Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya, sat on an indefinite starvation strike after he was allegedly stopped from getting into Haryana’s Nuh, the place part 144 has been imposed following the decision for a ‘Shobha Yatra’ within the district.

He stated that he would sit on a starvation strike till he obtained permission to pay homage and carry out Jalabhishek.

Meanwhile, safety has been tightened in Haryana’s Nuh following the decision for a ‘Shobha Yatra’ within the district on Monday, regardless of authorities denying permission for the procession.

This follows the choice of the VHP to go forward with its Braj Mandal Shobha Yatra at the moment.

On the violence that broke out on July 31 in Nuh, the senior police officer stated, “Investigation is underway, more than 250 accused have been identified and arrested. Four SITs are carrying out the investigation on the basis of technical evidence.””A dozen FIRs have been registered in Nuh. Those who will try to instigate through social media, action will be taken against them and their (social media) accounts will be blocked,” she added.

Meanwhile, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) chief Alok Kumar on Sunday stated that Braj Mandal Shoba Yatra shall be peacefully organised in Nuh at the moment. He stated that no points associated to regulation and order would come up and authorities ought to concentrate on sustaining peace within the state.

Speaking to ANI, Alok Kumar stated, “We know that G20 is going to start, so we will shorten the Yatra. But we will not leave it and will complete it tomorrow. I will also take part in it. Why will law and order issues arise? The government is there to maintain Law and Order so that people can organise their religious events peacefully and safely. We will organise it peacefully and they (administration and government) should maintain law and order.” (ANI)
