CHONGQING, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) — Nineteen school members and college students from Elon University within the United States joined friends from Sichuan University, Sichuan International Studies University, and Chongqing Nankai Secondary School for an alternate occasion on the Stilwell Museum on Friday.
The Museum is known as after Joseph Stilwell, a U.S. basic who helped the Chinese individuals of their battle in opposition to Japanese aggression throughout World War II.
Co-hosted by the Chongqing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Stilwell Research Center, the occasion featured a tour of Joseph Stilwell’s former residence and a WWII exhibition, culminating in a pleasant sport of ping-pong between the Chinese and American youths.
