According to a message acquired by the Japan Meteorological Agency from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii, there was a big magnitude 7.0 earthquake with its epicenter close to Indonesia at round 5:49 a.m. on the ninth.
Due to this earthquake, the Japan Meteorological Agency introduced a tsunami advisory for the northwest Pacific Ocean, stating that there’s a threat of a tsunami occurring close to the epicenter.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, there isn’t any tsunami affect on Japan attributable to this earthquake.
