India trying ahead to 22 intersessional meet with US: MEA

New Delhi [India], September 1 (ANI): On the sidelines of the India-Japan 22 ministerial assembly, the MEA stated India can be trying ahead to a 22 intersession assembly with the US with a number of senior officers, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi stated at a media briefing on Thursday.

In a weekly presser, Bagchi stated “The 22 with Japan is something that we are looking at. We are also looking at mini 22 as we could have senior officials meeting here.”Highlighting the 22 talks as a mirrored image of shut coordination and collaboration with each the Quad companions in addition to bilateral companions, Bagchi described the assembly with Japan as a vital one because it is among the few nations with which India conducts a 22 ministerial dialogue.

In an earlier briefing, Bagchi termed the India-Japan 22 ministerial assembly as a chance to overview safety cooperation between the 2 nations.

“Japan has offered to hold the next India-Japan 22 meeting. However, it has not happened yet due to Covid-19 and other factors,” the Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson stated including that the main points of the assembly will likely be shared within the public area as soon as finalized.

Notably, the India-US 22 Ministerial Dialogue was held between Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin on April 11 in Washington.
