Ichikawa Danjuro, 47, stars in “Futatsu Gamana Tebon Sansho: Uraomote Chushingura,” which opened on the Shinbashi Enbujo theater.
This manufacturing gives a recent interpretation of the traditional Chushingura story, incorporating a contemporary perspective. Danjuro performs 4 completely different roles in fast succession, impressing the viewers with a surprising mid-air acrobatic show.
