Hyogo ski resort reopens, however bleak outlook as heat climate to proceed

HYOGO, Jan 09 (News On Japan) –
A ski resort in Kami Town, Hyogo Prefecture, has resumed operations after a five-day closure, and solely 3 days after a ‘snow begging’ ritual was carried out.

The Hachi Kita Ski Resort in Kami Town, which opened in December, needed to droop its operations on Jan 4 because of an absence of snowfall.

The onset of chilly climate from Sunday allowed the resort to reopen on Monday.

However, with temperatures anticipated to rise from Tuesday, and no snowfall forecast till round January 13, the ski resort faces one other week of challenges.
