A flask exploded throughout a first-year science class at Himeji Municipal Sanyo Junior High School in Hyogo Prefecture at round 11 a.m. on September eleventh, injuring six individuals together with a trainer.
According to the Himeji City Board of Education, the category was conducting an experiment to generate hydrogen by mixing zinc and hydrochloric acid when the gasoline ignited and shattered the flask.
One male trainer in his 50s and 15 college students sought medical consideration, reporting cuts to the brow and fingers in addition to ear discomfort from the blast. Of these, six individuals, together with the trainer, have been confirmed injured.
The Himeji City Board of Education stated it “sincerely apologizes for causing concern to students, parents, and residents,” and added that it’ll reinforce security measures and guarantee strict adherence to correct procedures for science experiments.
