Hiroshima atomic bomb survivor group asks Prime Minister Kishida to signal the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons | NHK

On the sixth, “Atomic Bomb Day”, representatives of hibakusha teams met with Prime Minister Kishida in Hiroshima to ask for his signature and ratification of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. In response, Prime Minister Kishida identified that not a single nuclear-weapon state has joined the treaty, and stated, “It is our country’s responsibility to bring nuclear-weapon states closer to the treaty.”
