Hiroshi Kimura, a 24-year-old workplace employee from Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, has set a brand new file because the youngest Japanese to finish a solo, continuous, and unassisted circumnavigation of the world by yacht.
Kimura departed from Nishinomiya final October and reached his purpose within the Kii Channel off the coast of Wakayama Prefecture after roughly 230 days at sea. This outstanding feat updates the earlier file, set almost 30 years in the past. Kimura tried the journey in 2022 however needed to abandon it as a consequence of mechanical failures. He succeeded on his second try.
