New Delhi [India], January 29 (ANI): Congress’ New Delhi candidate Sandeep Dikshit has launched a blistering assault on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and his opponent Arvind Kejriwal over his “poisoned water” comment and stated that he has “gravely accused” one other authorities of “genocide” with none proof.
Claiming that Kejriwal is ‘mendacity’, Dikshit referred to as for motion on him from the Election Commission of India.
Speaking to ANI, Dikshit stated, “Yesterday I wrote a letter to the Election Commission. He has gravely accused another government of genocide without any proof and is saying Delhi Jal Board engineers has prevented the poisons to get mixed with the water. How they would have stopped only Arvind Kejriwal and his engineers know this… But when Jal Board CEO himself says no such thing has happened, it proves that Kejriwal is lying. EC should immediately take action on it…”Sharpening his assaults, the Congress candidate stated that everybody is aware of the extent of corruption Kejriwal had dedicated within the liquor coverage, claiming that if the police examine him correctly, he will not have the ability to come out of Tihar for the subsequent 15-20 years. Dikshit questioned why the Central authorities isn’t taking cognizance of the difficulty.
“Where was Arvind Kejriwal during the Delhi Riots?… Where was he hiding? Everyone knows the level of corruption in liquor policy… Punjab distilleries were getting orders. Delhi government was having losses. They made liquor policy without any consultation and without telling anyone. They were giving contracts to contractors of South Indian companies who were earning crore. Everybody knows what had happened in the liquor scam. The people of Delhi need to realise what a corrupt man they chose as their CM 10 years ago… Why the Central government is not taking any cognizance of it? If the police investigate him properly, I don’t think he will be able to come out of Tihar for the next 15-20 years…” he stated.
On Tuesday, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena wrote a letter to Chief Minister Atishi to precise his objections in opposition to the “poisoned water” remarks made by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) nationwide convener Arvind Kejriwal, labelling them as “false, misleading and fact less”.
The LG additional suggested Chief Minister Atishi to rise above petty pursuits for the general public welfare and peace.
In the letter, LG Saxena stated that the allegations levelled by Kejriwal relating to the “poisoning” of Yamuna water and “genocide” in opposition to Delhi residents had been an try to impress the general public.
This comes after Kejriwal on Monday levelled severe allegations in opposition to the Bharatiya Janata Party, stating that the BJP-ruled Haryana authorities has “poisoned” the Yamuna water provided to Delhi in order that “people die” and the blame comes on the AAP.
“If this water would have entered Delhi only to be mixed with the drinking water, many people would have died in Delhi. It would have caused mass genocide,” Kejriwal had alleged.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has requested Kejriwal to offer factual proof to substantiate his severe allegations that the river Yamuna was poisoned by the neighbouring Haryana state.
The fee has directed Kejriwal to furnish his response to the complaints, particularly on the factual and authorized matrix together with evidentiary help thereof by 8:00 PM on January 29, in order to allow the fee to look at the matter and take motion as applicable.
The Delhi Assembly elections will happen in a single part on February 5, with the counting of votes set for February 8. A complete of 699 candidates are competing for the 70 meeting seats in Delhi. (ANI)
