Google, Microsoft and 11 different overseas multinationals have moved to adjust to a Japanese authorized requirement to register their international headquarters, it was revealed Monday.
For taxation and and shopper safety functions, overseas firms working repeatedly in Japan should register their abroad headquarters.
But many tech multinationals have registered solely their Japanese arms. The Ministry of Justice advised 48 firms this March to file the paperwork, Nikkei reported in June.
