TOKYO, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) — A freight prepare derailed on the JR Kagoshima fundamental line in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima prefecture on Thursday, inflicting no accidents and disrupting prepare operations within the space.
The derailment occurred at round 3 a.m. native time because the 12-car prepare, together with one locomotive and 11 freight vehicles, was touring from Kumamoto Marshalling Yard to Kagoshima Station, the nationwide broadcaster NHK reported.
JR Kyushu has suspended operations on each instructions of the Kagoshima fundamental line between Kawauchi Station and Kumanoshiro Station for the complete day. Officials estimated it can take appreciable time to revive regular service.
In response to the accident, two investigators from the Japan Transport Safety Board will arrive on the scene within the afternoon to research the reason for the derailment.
