New Delhi [India], May 23 (ANI): The Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti will manage the Award Distribution Ceremony for the 4th National Water Awards on June 17, 2023, right here within the nationwide capital.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has been requested to be the Chief Guest on the Ceremony, in response to a launch by the Ministry of Jal Shakti.
41 winners, together with joint winners, have been chosen for the 4th National Water Awards, 2022, overlaying 11 classes together with ‘Best State’, ‘Best District’, ‘Best Village Panchayat’, ‘Best Urban Local Body’, ‘Best School’, ‘Best Media’, ‘Best Institution for campus utilization’, ‘Best water consumer affiliation’, ‘Best Industry’, ‘Best Industry for CSR actions’, and ‘Best NGO’.
The award winners in several classes shall be given a quotation, trophy and money prize. The money prizes for the first, 2nd, and third rank winners are Rs 2 lakhs, Rs.1.5 lakhs, and Rs 1 lakh, respectively.
Award winners and dignitaries/officers from numerous Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations/ State Governments and about 1,500 visitors are anticipated to take part within the ceremony.
The Ministry of Jal Shakti is the nodal ministry liable for laying down coverage pointers and programmes for the event, conservation and administration of water as a nationwide useful resource.
The first version of the National Water Awards was launched by the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation in 2018 and 82 winners throughout 14 classes have been awarded on February 25, 2019, in New Delhi.
Thereafter, the 2nd National Water Awards have been introduced in 2019 and the Vice President of India felicitated 98 winners underneath 16 classes in November 2020.
The third National Water Awards distribution ceremony was organized in March 2022 and 57 winners underneath 11 classes have been felicitated with awards by the President. (ANI)
