Arrivals of foreign-operated cruise ships to Japan are set to close the extent seen earlier than the coronavirus pandemic when their dockings to the nation resume in March after a three-year hiatus, a Kyodo News survey confirmed Sunday.
Out of 42 main ports, a complete of 89 arrivals are scheduled in March at 23 ports throughout 22 prefectures, whereas discussions by native governments and ship operators are progressing for arrivals at different ports, the survey confirmed. Before the pandemic in March 2019, Japan noticed 125 dockings on the 42 ports.
