Ex-breeder in Tokyo arrested for neglecting 10 canine

A 46-year-old former canine breeder in western Tokyo has been arrested for alleged neglect of 10 canine, police mentioned Wednesday, noting that the variety of animals he was caring for at one level had reached over 150.

Takashi Ogawa, who lives in Hachioji, had been breeding and promoting canine similar to Shiba Inu and Kai Ken, that are designated as nationwide treasures. He is believed to have brought on the ten canine to undergo by neglect between December and January in violation of the animal welfare legislation.

The Metropolitan Police Department believes he could have ended up with too many canine to boost, changing into unable to supply ample care.

Ogawa started breeding canine in February 2010. He had about 170 animals at one level and not less than 15 have died, in accordance with the police.
