New Delhi [India], July 17 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday stated that engineers are working around the clock to renew full capability of the Wazirabad Water Treatment plant within the nationwide capital, which reopened a day in the past after it was pressured to shut on account of floods a couple of days in the past.

The Wazirabad plant, one of many three water remedy vegetation by means of which the town will get its ingesting water provide, needed to be shut on July 13 after the flood waters entered its pumping station.

As per Kejriwal, the WWT plant was presently working at a capability of 54 MGD.

“Capacity of Wazirabad Water treatment plant is 134 MGD. It has started producing 54 MGD. The equipment got most damaged in this plant. Hopefully, it shud start working on full capacity soon. Engineers are working 24×7,” tweeted Kejriwal on Monday.

The chief minister additionally thanked the Public Works Department, Delhi Jal Board and different companies for rescue and reduction operations within the flood-affected areas.

On Sunday, Kejriwal knowledgeable that the Chandrawal water remedy plant (WTP) had resumed operations after water stage within the Yamuna River dropped to 206.03 metres.

The three water remedy plants- Wazirabad, Okhla and Chandrawal- had been closed on July 13 because the floodwater entered the pumping stations of those vegetation.
