‘Drishyam’ to get Korean remake, marks debut collaboration between Indian-Korean studios

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 21 (ANI): The iconic suspense-thriller ‘Drishyam’ will sooner get a Korean remake. Kim Jee-Woon, Song Kang-Ho’s Anthology Studios has introduced the remake of the favored franchise that was directed initially by Jeethu Joseph. According to Deadline, a US-based media home, Panorama Studios has teamed up with a Korean filmmaking home to develop a debut collaboration between a Korean and Indian studio. Anthology plans to remake all movies within the ‘Drishyam’ franchise, with manufacturing on the primary instalment anticipated to begin subsequent 12 months. Actor Ajay Devgn was featured within the Hindi model of Drishyam (2015), a remake of the Malayalam-language authentic, adopted by a sequel final 12 months, each blockbusters.

Panorama Studios produced the Hindi variations and has a 3rd instalment within the franchise lined as much as hit theatres subsequent 12 months, as per a report by Deadline.

Film producer Kumar Mangat Pathak described his additional plans for the franchise, he mentioned, “We’re now planning further remakes in other languages, including Japan and an English-language version, which is in an advanced stage of discussions in the US.”Earlier China Film Group produced a Chinese model of the first instalment of the Malayalam-language franchise billed as ‘Sheep Without A Shepherd’, which was a large hit in China in 2019.
