TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a member of the music duo Def Tech on suspicion of possession of marijuana, studies TBS News (Feb. 4).
On Monday, the Narcotics Control Division discovered a number of grams of marijuana on the residence of Yuki Nishimiya, a 45-year-old member of Def Tech who performs underneath the identify Micro, at his residence in Shibuya Ward.
The Narcotics Control Division has not revealed whether or not he admits to violating the Narcotics Control Act. He was indicted on Wednesday morning.
Def Tech shaped in 2001 by Hawaiian native Shen and Nishimiya. One of their hits contains “My Way” from their first mini-album “Def Tech,” launched in 2005. The duo is scheduled to carry a live performance to commemorate their twentieth anniversary at Nippon Budokan within the capital on February 8.
Nishimiya’s company said, “We are currently unable to contact him, and are in the process of confirming the facts.”
