TOKYO –
Beauty influencer and businesswoman Reika Miyazaki was sentenced on July 15 to 2 years and 6 months in jail, suspended for 4 years, for evading about 157 million yen in taxes, whereas her firm was fined 40 million yen.
Miyazaki, the consultant of Solarie, and the corporate had been accused of concealing practically 500 million yen in revenue by arranging for false receipts to be created and recording fictitious outsourcing bills.
The Tokyo District Court stated the offenses had been dedicated with agency felony intent and concerned a level of planning.
“The defendant bears serious responsibility for committing the offenses based on self-serving reasoning,” the courtroom stated in handing down the suspended sentence and company high quality.
Miyazaki quietly bowed after the proceedings and left the courtroom.
