Animation “Suzume” continues to guide China's field workplace

BEIJING, April 2 (Xinhua) — Japanese animated fantasy journey movie “Suzume” continued to high the Chinese mainland field workplace Saturday, figures from the China Movie Data Information Network confirmed Sunday.

The movie, directed by Makoto Shinkai, raked in 80.3 million yuan (about 11.69 million U.S. {dollars}) on the ninth day of its screening.

The animation follows the unlikely encounter between a 17-year-old woman and a mysterious younger man who embarks on a journey to stop a sequence of disasters throughout Japan.

Starring Feng Xiaogang, home household drama “Hachiko” got here in second, grossing practically 25.63 million yuan on its second day of screening.

It was adopted by home romantic comedy “Nobody But You,” which pocketed about 18.8 million yuan on its debut.
