TOKYO, May 16 (Xinhua) — The Japanese authorities on Tuesday endorsed seven main energy firms’ plans to boost family electrical energy costs from June.
The authorities, at a gathering of associated cupboard ministers, authorized the screening requirements on the sizes of price hikes, compiled by the business ministry late final month.
The worth hikes vary from round 15 % to 40 %, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno instructed a news convention.
The elevated electrical energy charges are anticipated to be carried out on June 1 after authorizations are given by the business ministry.
Japanese Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Yasutoshi Nishimura mentioned, “We recalculated the rates after carefully considering the latest fuel prices and other factors.”
