WASHINGTON D.C.: Japan’s ambassador to the US Koji Tomita stated this week that his nation hopes to open a NATO liaison workplace in Tokyo.
He made his remark at an occasion hosted by the National Press Club in Washington, in response to a query a couple of report within the Nikkei Asia which said that NATO was planning to open its first workplace in Asia to hurry country-to-country consultations within the area.
NATO has not commented on the Nikkei report.
