MANILA – Anti-narcotics operatives of the Southern Police District (SPD) have seized PHP6.8 million value of shabu from two Chinese nationals and their feminine cohort in a sting operation in Taguig City on Monday night time.
In a report on Tuesday, SPD director, Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft, stated Chinese nationals Kun Yang, 26, and Yang Tao, 29, each listed as high-value people and Faith Jovenes Suniga, 18, had been arrested by the SPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) in a buy-bust operation round 10:30 p.m. Monday inside a car parking zone in Barangay Fort Bonifacio.
Kraft stated the suspects had been members of the Yang Drug Group working within the cities of Muntinlupa, Makati, Pasig, Pasay, and Taguig.
DEU members seized round one kilogram of shabu positioned in a yellow and inexperienced plastic tea bag with Chinese characters, a self-sealing clear plastic sachet containing dried leaves and fruiting tops suspected to be kush (high-grade marijuana) weighing round 9.5 grams, a small clear plastic sachet containing 62 items of small pink spherical tablets and 38 items of small pink spherical tablets, a silver grey Mitsubishi Montero with plate no. NAP 4683, a silver-gray Mitsubishi Mirage bearing conduction sticker Y1 U357, and boodle cash value PHP1.2 million.
Kraft stated the confiscated drug proof will likely be forwarded to the SPD Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative examination whereas the arrested suspects had been quickly detained on the RDEU Custodial Facility for reserving and documentation.
Charges are being readied in opposition to the suspects for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
