Japanese Olympic judo champ Koga Toshihiko passed away on Wednesday at the age of 53.
People near to him claim he undertook cancer cells surgical treatment in 2014.
Koga hailed Fukuoka Prefecture, which lies in southwesternJapan He signed up in an elite judo training facility when he was a junior high pupil.
Koga is recognized for his Seoinage, or shoulder toss, method. He won a gold medal in the males’s 71- kilo department at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, in spite of receiving a significant injury to his left knee prior to the round. He participated in 3 straight Olympics in between 1988 as well as 1996.
