Assam Minister Kaushik Rai opinions proposals underneath ‘Viksit Assam’ initiative

Guwahati (Assam) [India], October 4 (ANI): Assam Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Kaushik Rai on Sunday chaired a gathering with senior officers to assessment and finalise proposals for high-impact city improvement tasks to be submitted underneath the “Viksit Assam” initiative.

The assembly, held on the convention corridor of the Minister’s workplace, targeted on figuring out and prioritising tasks aimed toward accelerating city improvement, strengthening civic infrastructure and bettering the standard of lifetime of residents throughout the state.

Rai emphasised the necessity for coordinated efforts amongst all involved companies and directed officers to organize complete, outcome-oriented proposals with clear priorities and implementation methods.

The proposals being compiled by varied verticals of the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs (DoHUA) embrace tasks from the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA), Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), Guwahati Urban Infrastructure Company Limited (GUCL), Town & Country Planning (T&CP), Technical Cell of DoHUA, Guwahati Jal Board, AMRUT and Guwahati Smart City Limited (GSCL).

The Minister burdened that the proposals ought to give attention to transformative and impactful tasks with the potential to contribute considerably in the direction of the imaginative and prescient of a developed and progressive Assam.

The assembly was attended by Kavitha Padmanabhan, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary, Housing and Urban Affairs; Dr S. Lakshmanan, IAS, Managing Director, Guwahati Smart City Limited; and Rohan Kumar Jha, IAS, Managing Director, Guwahati Jal Board.

Senior officers from the Municipal Administration, GMC, GMDA, T&CP, AMRUT, GUCL and GSCL had been additionally current on the assembly. (ANI)
