Strong earthquake strikes southern Japan, no influence on nuclear vegetation

Tokyo, July 28 (SANA)A magnitude 7.1earthquakestruck Kumamoto Prefecture in southernJapanon Tuesday, the Japan Meteorological Agency mentioned.

The company mentioned the quake registered 7 on Japan’s seismic depth scale within the hardest-hit areas and issued atsunami warningfor coastal areas alongside the Ariake and Yatsushiro seas.

Kyushu Electric Power Co. reported no abnormalities on the Genkai nuclear energy plant in Saga Prefecture or the Sendai nuclear energy plant in Kagoshima Prefecture, in keeping with Kyodo News. Radiation ranges round each vegetation remained unchanged after the earthquake.
