Herve Renard confirmed on his Instagram account on Saturday that he won’t be staying on as Tunisia nationwide workforce coach past the 2026 World Cup.

Renard, 57, was employed after Tunisia’s disastrous 5-1 loss to Sweden of their group stage opener led to the firing of Sabri Lamouchi.

His preliminary contract was a short-term pact meant solely to final the period of the match.

The outcomes have been hardly higher with the Frenchman in cost, with the North Africans following with a 4-0 loss to Japan and a 3-1 defeat to the Netherlands.

Renard has now coached in 4 World Cups, guiding the Morocco males in 2018, Saudi Arabia males in 2022 and French girls in 2023.
