American suspected of utilizing stolen truck in hit-and-run incidents: ‘It felt like a video game’ – TokyoReporter

TOKYO (TR) – An American man suspected of repeatedly finishing up hit-and-run incidents throughout the capital earlier this month has advised police that the crimes “felt like a video game,” experiences TBS News (Feb. 27).

The arrest is the second for 41-year-old Arthur Parker Molinari. On February 14, he’s suspected of driving a stolen truck with no license and hitting a male motorcyclist on a road in Edogawa Ward.

The sufferer suffered accidents that may take two weeks to heal.

Upon his arrest on suspicion of negligent driving with no license and inflicting harm, Molinari denied the allegations. He stated, “I was driving to Narita Airport. When I had the accident, I felt like I was in a video game; I couldn’t tell if it was real.”

About an hour earlier than the incident in Edogawa, the truck was stolen in Chiyoda Ward. It is then believed to have subsequently triggered a complete of seven hit-and-run accidents in Bunkyo, Taito and Edogawa wards.

Molinari later deserted the truck and fled the scene. However, he was apprehended roughly 400 meters away by police.

Two days later, police first arrested Molinari on suspicion of hit-and-run over the aforementioned case in Edogawa.

Police are at the moment investigating the circumstances surrounding the incidents intimately.
