Food supply service Wolt introduced that it’ll withdraw from Japan on March 4th as competitors within the home supply market intensifies.
Wolt, which originated in Finland, launched its meals and grocery supply service in Japan in March 2020 and later sought to increase its operations, together with delivering prescription medicines to sufferers from hospitals in 2022.
However, competitors in Japan’s supply market has grown more and more fierce, notably from rivals reminiscent of Uber Eats and Demae-can, making it troublesome for the corporate to maintain its operations.
