New Delhi [India], February 20 (ANI): Prime Minister Modi on Friday held a bilateral assembly with Mauritius Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam within the nationwide capital on the Hyderabad House, on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit, 2026.
Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchadra Ramgoolam arrived in India on Wednesday to attend the worldwide AI Impact Summit being hosted in New Delhi. He was obtained by Minister of State for Jal Shakti Raj Bhushan Choudhary.
Sharing the main points of his arrival in a submit on X, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) underlined the shut partnership between India and Mauritius and stated, ‘Welcome to a detailed good friend and maritime neighbour! Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam of Mauritius @Ramgoolam_Dr was warmly obtained by Minister of State for Jal Shakti @dr_rajbhushan on his arrival in India for the India AI Impact Summit 2026. Digital cooperation stays a key pillar of the – Enhanced Strategic Partnership, anchored in deep-rooted and historic people-to-people ties.’

Ahead of the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, Mauritian Minister of Financial Services and Economic Planning Jyoti Jeetun, on February 13, lauded India’s technological prowess, saying the nation is understood for its sturdy technology-driven financial system and is now taking the lead in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Speaking to ANI, Jeetun stated Mauritius considers itself ‘very privileged’ to be a part of what she described as the following section of world technological improvement.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is being held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. It began on February 16 and can run as much as February 20, 2026. The Summit introduced collectively authorities policymakers, trade AI specialists, academicians, know-how innovators and civil society from the world over at New Delhi to advance international discussions on synthetic intelligence.
