TOKYO, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) — Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on Monday introduced her plan to dissolve the House of Representatives on Jan. 23 for a snap normal election set for Feb. 8.
At a press convention, Takaichi stated she is going to dissolve the 465-member decrease home on Friday, the opening day of this 12 months’s atypical parliamentary session.
Voting will happen on Feb. 8, with official campaigning ranging from Jan. 27, she added.
The election, the primary since Takaichi took workplace on Oct. 21, is ready to return with greater than two years left within the present decrease home time period.
