BRUSSELS, Dec 4 : EU regulators are contemplating whether or not to impose interim measures towards Meta over its rollout of synthetic intelligence options in its messaging service WhatsApp, EU antitrust chief Teresa Ribera mentioned on Thursday.
Ribera, who had earlier opened an investigation into the U.S. tech large’s coverage which is able to go into impact in January, didn’t say when she would determine about interim measures.
She advised reporters that the European Commission had obtained complaints from small firms about Meta’s WhatsApp AI coverage.
