Japan’s Imperial Household Agency started Monday sharing updates on Princess Aiko’s solo duties and the actions of the Akishino household and different imperial members on its official Instagram account.
The official account, launched in April 2024, has primarily featured the actions of the Emperor and Empress and is adopted by 2.06 million customers.
According to the company’s public relations workplace, starting on August 18, it would submit month-to-month summaries of Princess Aiko’s unbiased duties, the Akishino household’s engagements, and different imperial actions.
The company mentioned it hopes the expanded protection will assist youthful generations higher perceive the imperial household, stating, “By broadening the scope of information we share, we want to reach a wider audience, including younger people.”
