TOKYO, Feb 06 (News On Japan) –
Japan’s actual wages declined for the third consecutive 12 months in 2024, failing to maintain tempo with rising costs, in response to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
The ministry reported that the inflation-adjusted actual wage per employee fell by 0.2% in comparison with the earlier 12 months.
Meanwhile, the common month-to-month money earnings, together with base wage and additional time pay, reached a preliminary determine of 348,182 yen, marking the fourth consecutive 12 months of improve. Despite this nominal wage progress, the ministry said that wages haven’t stored up with inflation.
