First ‘Rose of Versailles’ Manhole Covers Appear in Chiba’s Kashiwa

KASHIWA, Nov 13 (News On Japan) –
Manhole covers that includes characters from Riyoko Ikeda’s common manga The Rose of Versailles had been unveiled on November eleventh at three places inside Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture.

According to metropolis officers, these are the primary manhole covers of their variety in Japan. Ikeda has a private connection to the world, having spent over 20 years there from her center faculty years. The metropolis organized this venture as a part of the celebrations for the seventieth anniversary of Kashiwa’s incorporation.
