Noto Peninsula Opens Bypass on Uplifted Coastline

Ishikawa, May 02 (News On Japan) –
A brand new bypass street has opened on the coast uplifted by the Noto Peninsula earthquake in Ishikawa Prefecture’s Wajima City.

The street, which was constructed as a detour following a landslide that severed National Route 249, was opened to visitors on the 2nd. For now, the street will solely be accessible to building automobiles and native residents. There are at present no plans in place to open it to basic automobile visitors.
