Death toll in Japanese quake rises to eight: gov't

TOKYO, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) — At least eight folks had been confirmed useless in Ishikawa prefecture after a large earthquake hit the world in central Japan and the neighborhood, public broadcaster NHK reported Tuesday, citing native authorities.
