The Mayor of Miyawaka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Hidetoshi Shiokawa, is claimed to have repeatedly made remarks which are suspected of harassment to a number of metropolis workers, and the Miyawaka City Council has issued a lawsuit towards the mayor, stating that he “lacks the qualities of a frontrunner.” The decision recommending resignation was handed with a majority vote. Mayor Shiokawa mentioned at a press convention, “At this level, I’m not fascinated by resigning.”
