Akita canines stroll on Shibuya avenue to mark 100 years since start of Hachiko

TOKYO, Dec 04 (NHK) –
Dozens of Akita Inu canines had been paraded alongside a highway in Tokyo’s Shibuya ward to rejoice 100 years for the reason that start of Hachiko — a male Akita that turned well-known for its loyalty.

Hachiko was born in 1923 and lived together with his proprietor in Shibuya. The canine used to attend for its grasp to return from work every day at Shibuya Station even after he died.

On Saturday, about 40 Akita canines and their house owners from across the nation gathered in Shibuya for an occasion organized by the Akita Inu Preservation Society primarily based in Odate City, Akita Prefecture. The metropolis was the birthplace of Hachiko.
