The New Manhattan Project: A Concert for Nuclear Abolition – Nuclear Ban Week NY

Join Youth Arts New York/Hibakusha Stories, ICAN and NYCAN for the inaugural occasion of  Nuclear Ban Week NY

The New Manhattan Project: A Concert for Nuclear Abolition

Monday, November 27, 7:30 p.m.

The Japan Society, 333 East 47th St., New York, NY 10017 (simply throughout First Avenue from UN HQ)

Tickets out there by Eventbrite

With music path by Sam Sadigursky and Noah Diamond as tour information, the live performance is a journey to find the nuclear legacy that New York City uniquely claims. Short movies of websites on the Nuclear NYC Map interweave with stay performances by Sam Sadigursky, Nathan Koci, New York Taiko Aiko Kai, Meg Okura and MARK Harmony, a bunch of younger singers from the Marshall Islands whose households had been on the frontlines of environmental and cultural devastation brought on by 67 atmospheric nuclear assessments performed by the US Government. The live performance will spotlight the creativity and activism in NYC that fuels the motion for nuclear abolition. Youth Arts New York / Hibakusha Stories, ICAN and NYCAN provide this occasion as Mexico hosts the 2nd Meeting of States Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) at UN Headquarters.
