TOKYO, July 22 (Xinhua) — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.8 struck elements of Japan’s Ibaraki prefecture northeast of Tokyo, the climate company mentioned on Saturday.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the temblor occurred at 10:52 a.m. native time at a depth of fifty km, measuring 4 on Japan’s seismic depth scale which peaks at 7.
The temblor’s epicenter was situated off Ibaraki at a latitude of 36.5 levels north and a longitude of 140.8 levels east.
No tsunami warning has been issued.
