TOKYO, July 14 (Xinhua) — Three circumstances of leakage involving poisonous per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) between 2010 and 2012 have been confirmed on the U.S. navy’s Yokota base in western Tokyo, Japan’s high authorities spokesman mentioned Friday.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno informed the day’s press convention that related ministries and native authorities will work collectively to proceed to take mandatory measures.
Meanwhile, Matsuno averted a transparent touch upon whether or not the federal government will request an on-site inspection of the U.S. base beneath the Japan-U.S. Status of Forces Agreement.
