1 killed, dozens injured after robust quake hit W Japan

One individual was killed and 21 folks injured after a magnitude-6.5 quake struck western Japan, NHK broadcaster reported on Friday.

The quake struck the Ishikawa Prefecture at 2:42 p.m. native time at a depth of 12 kilometers, in accordance with the Japan Meteorological Agency. 

Some buildings had collapsed after the robust quake.
