Two males had been injured Monday after being bitten by wild dolphins at Suishohama Beach in Mihama, Fukui Prefecture.
At round 1:30 p.m., two males of their 20s had been swimming at Suishohama Beach once they had been approached and bitten by wild dolphins. One man from Aichi Prefecture sustained accidents to his proper index finger, requiring seven stitches, whereas the opposite man from Gifu Prefecture was bitten on his proper arm.
A beachgoer commented, “One of them was splashing a bit, and it seemed like the dolphin approached to play.”
Since final 12 months, dolphin-related accidents to people have been on the rise in Fukui Prefecture. This season alone, 12 individuals have been injured at numerous seashores.
The Tsuruga Coast Guard has urged individuals to keep away from approaching dolphins and to exit the water instantly if they’re noticed.
