“Wide-area countermeasures” as homes transfer about 12 meters attributable to liquefaction in Ishikawa Uchinada Town | NHK

In Uchinada Town, Ishikawa Prefecture, which suffered extreme injury from liquefaction throughout the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, consultants discovered that homes had shifted horizontally by about 12 meters. Experts say that “lateral motion,” during which the bottom strikes considerably laterally, has occurred, and that “wide-area measures similar to large-scale floor enchancment are mandatory for reconstruction.”
