Urgent: 6.0-magnitude quake strikes off Japan’s southern Torishima Island area

TOKYO, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 struck the Torishima Island area in southern Japan, the climate company stated Tuesday.

There was no tsunami warning issued because of this temblor, in accordance with the Japan Meteorological Agency.
