TOKYO, thirtieth May, 2025 (WAM) — The United Arab Emirates was Japan’s prime crude oil provider in April 2025, offering Tokyo with 34 million barrels of crude, in response to official Japanese information.
This quantity accounted for 45.5 % of Japan’s complete crude oil imports for the month, based mostly on figures launched by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
In complete, Japan imported 74.77 million barrels of crude oil in April, with Arab oil making up the overwhelming majority at 94.1 % or 70.40 million barrels. These imports got here from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Sudan.
Saudi Arabia ranked second after the UAE, supplying 27.10 million barrels or 36.3 % of Japan’s complete imports. Qatar contributed 5.25 million barrels (7 %), adopted by Kuwait with 2.79 million barrels (3.7 %), Oman with 1.2 %, and Sudan with 0.4 %.
